Interestingly enough, all new audio visual receivers from all brands have moved to TuneIn for 2017... everyone has bailed on vTuner.

I fell foul of this with a Sony system I got a few years ago... such potential utterly lost.

Hope tunein doesnt disappear soon....

Tunein appear to be the smart cookies at the moment...

They're going to all the manufacturers with a ready made methods to adapt streaming services like Tidal and Deezer. The manufacturer breathes a sigh of relief as they don't have to figure out how to integrate that streaming service into their app... pays Tunein some money, and everyone is happy - TuneIn because they get paid, the streaming service because they may sign up new users, the manufacturer who doesn't have to spend time and money adapting a service and US the end-users, because we get more streaming services!

The benefit of TuneIn is they have all the MWR and NZME stations loaded AND they give you song titles in their stream, the negative, you can't add custom URL's like you can in vTuner.

it's a pity none of the receivers (as far as I know) allow you to assign a hardware button to a stream, so you can switch like presets on FM.  Having to dive down into menu upon menu seems like a backwards step for usability.

Bose Soundtouch systems have six presets, and using these is a million times easier than having to stream the Rova app from my phone over Bluetooth.

I guess that's the end of listening to Mediaworks stations for me, but these days I tend to just listen to RNZ and BBC stations on the Soundtouch.

vTuner have updated the George FM and The Rock streams and are functioning again on Bose Soundtouch devices.  Thanks again for your great help @davidcole and others.

Would it be possible to just sniff the traffic and pull put the URL's?

How would one do that?
