Hi All, my Amazon Prime membership is coming up for renewal shortly. Just wonder if I don't renew (it's $99USD) and sign up for Prime Video which is roughly $70USD PA and I have DNS4me pointing at amazon.com US servers will I see the same catalogue as before when I was an Amazon Prime member?

Hey, I've been testing it out and trying to get get it going on my LGTV. I think once you switch to Prime Video, it just goes to NZ catalogue
That's been my experience too.
Also, I confirmed with Amazon that of the fire tv devices, only the basic fire tv stick works with amazon video (i.e. the NZ version). If you do buy the basic stick, use Geekzone's affiliate link.
My 1st gen Fire TV box cannot get the NZ amazon video, but with smart dns I can watch US Prime Video. So my Amazon device becomes the perfect device to watch Netflix but not Amazon's own services, unless I use a back door.
I have no interest in purchasing basic fire tv stick (sans Alexa) which is inferior to my current device, just to watch NZ amazon video.

Yep, I came up against this wall a few months back. We use a 1st gen Fire TV stick in the lounge to watch Netflix (have to Chromecast Youtube now) and a 1st gen Fire TV box in the bedroom mainly for Kodi but after making a few queries found we would have to shell out for new devices to get Amazon video. My response to the Amazon people was to advise them I get more than enough content through Netflix, Youtube and Lightbox so I wasn't get going to shell out a pile more money to upgrade existing devices in order to watch their limited catalogue.
