One downside of RugbyPaas vs MkSky is that you can't live pause or delay start a game.  Correct me if I'm wrong.  So you either watch it live, or you watch it on demand later on, after it's completely finished - and I'm not sure what the delay is after the game until it is available on demand.

What we found was for games that started at 7:30 pm, we often started watching (uisng MySky) after dinner at say 8:30 pm, which also meant you could fast forward through half time, injury breaks etc.  I don't believe that's possible with RugbyPass.  Although once again I'm conflicted over whether that functionality is worth the extra cost ($90/month) for Sky.

I pretty sure you can watch it delayed, you just drag the play time indicator to the start when you start watching and I'm sure you can pause as well. I don't have an active subscription at the moment to confirm that. I generally start subscribing at the start of ABs season/ end of super 15. More interested in ABs and Mitre 10 cup than super 15.

What setup steps did you use to get Foxtel Now setup and working in NZ?

To get Foxtel Now, you need to have an Australian credit card. That's going to be your biggest obstacle if you don't have one. I still have my debit Mastercard from my Australian back. For the Chromecast, I have a wifi VPN off my router that routes all traffic via Australia (I use PIA, but it should work with any VPN provider with an Australian exit node). That way I can use all the Australian TV apps (7plus, 9now, ABC iView, SBSoD, Foxtel Now) on my mobile and stream them on my Chromecast. I have a second Chromecast on the tv that connects to my main wifi for the NZ streaming services (mainly TVNZoD and Fan Pass).

25% discount on RugbyPass annual subscription now available using promo code: MARCH25.

Equates to around NZ$165 for a year or just under $15 per month.

Is there a how to guide somewhere for setting this up?

Know I need a VPN but want to know how to configure this for specific devices, rather than route everything in the house through an overseas server.

Ideally would like to run via Kodi or native rugbypass app if one exists?

Have options of Sony android TV or Xbox One etc to stream rugbypass on.

You could route a specific ssid/vlan to the VPN server or alternately in a very simple home network just add another VPN client capable router to the mix for specific use by the devices concerned. Note: You don't mention your network design.

This is what I do. I have a device connected to my router that provides a second WiFi network. Anything connected to it routes traffic through the VPN. I have two Chromecasts in the television. One is connected to the router for NZ based sites (Netflix, TVNZoD, etc), and the other connected to the second network for Australian sites (ABC iView, SBSoD, Foxtel Now, Stan, etc).

Can anyone tell me how soon after a game the replay is available on Rugbypass? I'm based in Aus at the moment, so with 1930 game time, that's 1730 here and the kids are still up.. is it available immediately after the game?

I've setup dns4me and ESPN+ via free 7 days trials.  Going to give that a go this weekend.

dns4me was a walk in the park.  No loss of speed that I can see, and just worked.
Applied the new DNS settings manually to my TV only, so nothing else in the house is affected.

Then installed the free ESPN android app via the official android play store onto my sony TV itself.

Anyone using ESPN+ for rugby?

I can see replays on the EPSN+ menu, and can see future matches towards the end of this month, but can't see anything about the closer upcoming matches.
They are listed here though, so are on the schedule.

Anyone else see how to find upcoming rugby matches via the ESPN app?

I use the ESPN app but on the FireTV. Hopefully the same GUI, so go to Browse, then scroll across to the Rugby icon and click on it, from within there you can filter by super rugby, internationals, see upcoming games, past games etc.

I do prefer RugbyPass’s navigation and catalogue but ESPN+’s video quality and pricing.

I am using the FireTV to watch rugby ESPN+. I have noticed with the Browse and under "International Rugby" , I get no content message.

If I look in the "Featured" , Upcoming Events I can see HSBC World Rugby Sevens, AB's vs France, Australia vs Ireland and Sth Africa vs England.

The EPSN+ guide is a bit hit and miss with up coming listings.

Awesome, thanks guys.  I thought I was going nuts, in terms of couldn't find a search window to type in any keywords.

Under Rugby on the front page I was only seeing replays or very distant upcoming matches (end of the month stuff, not tomorrow etc).

Under sports there is a Rugby section, but under that only one of the 3 sections has any rugby content, the rest are empty.

ESPN+ pricing is great, but it's a dumping ground for minority sport feeds that ESPN have purchased but aren't broadcasting on one of their main channels.

That might mean things come and go over time, but for now it's the exact Sky feed games and commentary for most (eg the Super Rugby).

Quality looks pretty good.  Still some blurring around areas of movement bit rate issues, but fundametally very watchable.  Better than Sky Go as a reference point, and probably close to FanPass levels.
