Oh boy, I'll be honest and say I had Seven of Nine as my desktop wallpaper for a while back in the Voyager days .... this makes me want to set it again

I feel less excited by this the more I see of it.
I worry it will be heavily reliant on having an indepth knowledge of Picards Star Trek, which admittedly I don't have. He never really appealed to me after Shatner, though I didn't mind him terribly when I saw him.
lchiu7: It's only outside the US. In the US it will still be CBS All Access.
I wonder if you can see if if you're Amazon Prime account is US based?
I doubt it. Some shows are available on Prime overseas where the networks don't have presence. In the US the networks keep to themselves.

Trailer gives that impression. In practice many of the gaps are unknown to anyone anyway and no doubt will come out during the show.
I was hoping it would be something I can just pickup and start as if I was new to the series, with minimal prior knowledge required. I guess I'll wait and see what comes out and watch a few episodes.
