Are you using an Ethernet cable or wifi to connect your TV?

re sdav’s comment about the app being on another device,

I have been jumping between watching on two different Chromecast Ultras, a couple of AppleTVs, A Panasonic 2018 smart TV, An Android tablet and an iPad. While I have been sure to close the Spark Sport App before moving to the next device, it has not missed a beat yet.

Is the LG TV App your only (large screen) viewing option?

As a fallback, forget the TV app and cast to the TV from the spark app on another device?

thanks to all for assisting here. I think Spark Sport have bigger problems than my single TV. Admitting defeat and will purchase either Chromecast or another Apple TV (my current one is apparently to old) to watch the footie.

You do need a 4th Gen Apple TV if you want to have the Spark Sport App on the Apple TV itself but If your Apple TV is a 3rd Generation one you can still stream to it from Spark Sport app on your iPad or iPhone. Just get a game going on the iphone or iPad and then tap once on the device screen to show the controls and then in the top right corner is a rectangle with a triangle - tap that and then select your Apple TV and it will start playing the stream. If the picture freezes but the Audio keeps playing then tap the rectangle icon again and select to have the picture play on your phone and then select to play on the Apple TV again and you’ll be away. If you have a 1st or 2nd gen Apple TV then yes you’re out of luck.

Hope this helps!

You can still airplay to a 3rd gen Apple TV from your iPhone or iPad.
