Seems to point to the Netflix app or how the Netflix traffic is getting served to your TV.

You seem to have proved that the traffic can be fine (from Netflix to other devices) - though I am not sure if you said you managed to get 4K running on anything else (probably hard to test as the TV is likely the only client that is built for it).

I know that streaming sites often serve content from different sources depending on the client they detect.

Do other Orcon Fibre users get problems with 4K Netflix content?

The TV is probably too big to easily move to someone else's house to test on a different ISP.

Yeah a call to Panasonic is the next step I think. I have a feeling that Panasonic are going to say they don't provide support for third party apps.

Is the tv using the same DNS as other devices? Region settings on the tv? longshots..

Traffic analysis could confirm if all devices get the same servers.

Can you hotspot the tv to your mobile for test? That eliminates a bunch of stuff at one go including your fixed line ISP.

Can you change the network settings on the TV's internet connection - Set it for a static IP and set the DNS servers manually for example.

Yes, however I noticed that the TV makes DNS requests on its own to 8.8.8.8 (see previous page). Same result if I allow that or if I DSTNAT those requests to the router and therefore my ISP's DNS.

I could however I don't really get 4G here at home rather 3G only.

TV should have a network settings menu with DHCP, DNS etc.

Yeah the TV is set to DHCP yet still uses 8.8.8.8 probably like Android does.

I'll try setting it statically but not sure how that would help. It's not like the TV is losing a DHCP assignment every minute.

Moving the tv from dhcp onto static makes no difference.
