I live in Australia now, if someone tells me how to extract the app from my Mi Box I’m happy to share it.

I have been having a look into the issue with wanting to download apps for Android TV that aren't "geo available".

I found an app called 'Aurora Store' link here.

What it can do, is take the place of the google play store app.

As far as I can see, it sources its content directly via the google play store via its own api (and allows you to do this anonymously if you wish).

It appears that once you have it installed you can use it to search for and find apps that arent part of your normal zone.

This link has info on how to set the region free setting.

Or, as you may have noticed sometimes, you can google search and find - for example - 'BBC iplayer google play'. You will get a result. But if you try and open the link with google play that app is not available. However, if you open the link with Aurora Store it will show it to you and you can download it.

I had a fiddle with an old Android tablet and got it working without much trouble - I havent had a chance to try it on my CCWGTV (why did they have to give it that name?).

Maybe useful to someone else (or not).

Ok I managed to get the app from one of the web based downloaders that pulls the APK from the store (apkfab in this case). The app was giving me a login screen that looked like it was designed for a phone so that was throwing me off and making me think it wasn't the app for android TV but after logging it in it seems to work well enough on my google TV chromecast. Does version 4.24 match what anyone else has for android TV?

I've shared a folder of Australian TV channels that I have APKs of, taken from AndroidTV and installed from the Google Play Store.
FYI, On Demand[1.5.6].apk is SBS On Demand

The 7plus is a zip, I'm pretty sure it's an Android App Bundle so you'll need to use the APK Mirror installer
