For news I quite like Al Jazeera, think it’s channel 16. They also have applic on Apple TV and some TV brands as well for on demand content and live streaming.

I find it strange if I don’t have entertainment channel package with Sky cannot watch on box, but can tune into channel if I watch Freeview without going through Sky Box. I don’t know if I’ll keep Sky long term, just seeing what happens for now.

YouTube quite often has some Sky News stuff and things on it, but have to search.

Disney has Star added to it in NZ so a lot of adult content there. I enjoy Prime Video as well which at $8 a month is excellent value.

There’s a surprising amount of good stuff on TVNZOD. It’s free as you would know and has ads - but they’re short and few in number - not really intrusive under the circs.

I checked the Three and One on demand last night. Was surprised, as you say quite a bit of content to choose from. Might just wait a little before adding another one.

I will miss the News channels a bit.

Netflix and Acorn TV for us. Really like the old British shows on Acorn. Just working our way through Foyles War, which as far as I know has never screened here.

nztim: I considering the same thing once Discovery+ launches I bet TV3 will lose HGTV and sky will lose TLC

I cant discuss my streaming lineup publicly

Is that because they are mostly ending in 'tubes'? ;)

Family of four, our mix is Netflix + Disney Plus + Prime Video + TVNZOD + ThreeNow + Youtube.

I don't particularly want to add any more payTV services but between the four of us we get the most value out of Netflix and Disney and TVNZ, at the moment, Prime is retained more for a couple of specific shows (some of their retro library is amusing too). Agree that TVNZOD is surprisingly good (long may it continue).

We had Lightbox when it was part of a Spark Mobile bundle but we found there was only one or two shows that kept our focus there. So when they were bought out by Sky (Neon merger) we let it go.

Sky pissed me off some 16 years ago and i've managed to actively avoid them ever since. Yes, good customer service is a worthwhile investment!

Sounds like the grandchild wants Disney, so when she can visit from Oz will get that. She was not impressed that there would be no Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network though. They seem to have a lot more streaming options in Oz as she mentioned names I hadn’t heard of.

Currently using Netflix, Apple TV+ & Neon. Will be getting Disney+ & Amazon Prime back again soon.

For me Apple TV+ has only a limited amount of content and so is best to subscribe for a small period here & there. Netflix is our (the family) main streaming service although for me personally I have been surprised by the content options of Neon which gets most of my viewing time now-days. Since they have the ability to get content from the likes of HBO & other major competitors to Netflix etc they now have a good range of shows/movies.

Yeah, we're the same, it has a wide range of options, and plenty of new 'hot off the press' shows, from the likes of HBO as mentioned...

... and, personally, I'd be happy to hand Sky my money for a Neon sub if they could sort their sh!t out and provide decent sound and picture quality. Until that happens, I'm happy to find this content via other means and stick with Netflix and Disney as our default SVOD services plus accept and use current freebies Prime and Apple+ (some decent new content on the latter at the moment, eg Serverance).
