Nintendo Switch Price Cheaters Rocketed Game To Mass Audiences (kotaku.com)\
I know it is complicated by "who cares, we are gouging Alphabet not people" but the whole VPN pricing hack doesn't sit very well with me.
The justification is that YT are charging what they think the market can stand and not the true cost of delivery.
tbh if you have music and no ads on tv yet you charge the same as someone who only has music then maybe your offerings should be priced higher
I also recommend the Argentina hack 😉
Just checked my last bill - $1.42 NZD...that's including the massive 3 cent conversion charge 😆

can you pay yearly with it instead of monthly?
@billgates Anyway, use VPN service to connect to Argentina, sign into YouTube with your existing Google account, buy the YT family premium in pesos with your NZ credit card using a Argentinian address,
Did you just use google's own mapping system to select a random Argentinian address?
And do you need to cancel your existing subscription first I assume?
When I subscribe to services in another country like that, I just use the NZ Embassy address in said country
The youtube music is a terrible afterthought tacked onto paying for no ads on youtube and I would be OK if they axed it to keep the price the same.
About all it lets me do is have my google homes misunderstand me and start playing wrong music out of them, and get me something lousy to play music on with my chromecast with google tv in the garage. Getting a fire TV for there so will be able to use Amazon Music instead soon so that will be less use of it.
If they were serious about music they would have a working app for it on devices, let me search for artists without finding crap cover versions and kareoke versions uploaded by people, ane be able to play an album with no gaps and all from the actual album and not have random tracks be pulled from "hits of the 80's" compilations or similar.

Think you can in India on an individual plan. Don't quote me on that though.

Not sure if you need to cancel current subscription first but I would say it's best if you cancel current sub and let it lapse. Then use any local address you can find online. I use Tunnelbear for free VPN.

LittleDude: I usually Google the country’s university’s address when I’m faking an location and need an address.I used India and paid for a year. I have noticed no difference in recommendations either.....
When I tried India’s YT premium I could only sign up for a month at a time. I think I got a lot of Indian videos showing up in recommended videos but I have not noticed anything annoying when using Argentina.
Moved my subscription to be Argentina based and just received an email from YouTube Premium stating:
We created YouTube Premium to provide an uninterrupted YouTube experience, so that you can get closer to the videos, creators and music artists that you love.
To continue delivering great service and features, we will be increasing your Premium family plan price from ARS 179.00/month to ARS 699.00/month.
This change will take place on your next billing cycle starting on or after 21 November 2022.
ARS 699 is around NZ$8
I just received the email from YouTube that premium is going up in Argentina as well. It will now cost around NZD$8/month
