A Windows update broke mine and I ended up with the issue where I could only play Low on my App, the web browser version worked fine on HQ as did IOS and my TV.
A VPN fixed it but that's not ideal, then I found changing my DNS to Cloudflares(Free) "Primary, secondary DNS servers: 185.228.168.9 and 185.228.169.9" DNS allowed it to work.... dunno if a DNS flush or something would work as I didn't try that first.
It may not help anyone else but I figured I'd post it in case.

Same here, play a ‘max’ album keeps stopping and starting.
Play the same album but doesn’t have’max’ next to it, no problems

Id have to say that, it's just as well Tidal dropped their price recently. I could imagine this rankling a few people now, but paying nearly double, you'd be very frustrated.

Since my OP, I've had several more emails form Tidal support and they've been working on it. Actually, from about a week ago, the latest release of the Tidal windows app has been working more-or-less perfectly for me ... I get 24/192 tracks streaming fine, like 99.99% of the time.

Mine is all good here on the desktop, but so little is in anything over the blue labeled max quality that I probably wouldn't notice if there was something only affecting 192 stuff. Pointless playing max quality on my onboard sound and logitech speakers but data is unlimited so why not.
