I’m think the Ads have past my threshold to be annoying, so will be paying the extra $3 soon.

Was one ad break for 30 seconds during show now it’s getting up to ad before program starts, and up to three more ad breaks in 40 or so minutes program and not able to skip. Have some ad periods go for a minute.

If there was no Ad free option I would be cancelling the service, as miles well be watching free to air ones for no monthly out lay.

The more adverts they put on, if it encourages people to move to other options, the less advertisers are going to see their ads watched/seen.

I’m guessing the amount will increase to even more over time, not my definition of with limited ads.

I have a US account and only  see an ad at the start  of the program / movie

That’s strange, as a search reveals they have adverts in USA as well.

Before the Ads were introduced did get Prime Video show advertised before show and it was skippable.

Overseas they have doubled adverts to 6 minutes in a hour, and have more adverts then Netflix, so I’m guessing that includes USA.

Maybe you are on Ad free plan?

Edit: replaced above link as Fortune one was behind paywall, didn’t notice paywall first visit.

All you lot obviously didn’t grow up in the 80’s, 90s and probably 2000-2010.

adverts are good for culture, conversation and information.  (Culture, because a decent advert gets talked about).
they also encourage spending, the same spending we all need to happen to ensure an economy works as it should.

why is everyone so time poor to just watch a half hour to hour show that also has adverts.
is everyone scrolling during said shows? Maybe use the advert break to scroll…instead of missing the show?

I don’t need replies to change my opinion, yeh….adverts can get annoying but you do get used to them.
edit, for what’s now a saturated streaming market…adverts keep subscription costs down so you can all subscribe to more than one which is what they want….as opposed to just being Netflix or just being prime or just being sky.

The YouTube skip button for ads works well for me. It's not always available. Imo they've found a nice balance with that approach. There is the occasional full play ad and the mute button is good for that. Prime ads are like ye olde tv ads I take it?

I Will never get used to those Turner car adds, and the latest one isnt even an add it is just 1 awful song. if adds become the norm on streaming sites then it is time to set sail on the seven seas

Common sense is not as common as you think.
