BraaiGuy: It also seems there are a few extra shows under TV including Robin Hood - Season 1.
this is a slap in the face!
shadybrothers: I'm at the point now where I am signed up and running via my PS3 but not interested in watching anything that they offer...
I aim to misbehave.
ArcticSilver: Cant say i've enjoyed my experience so far:
The lack of content is a large problem for me, even the TV series's that are listed dont have all the seaons.
When signing up you are billed an "administration fee". Why is there one for what I asume is an automated process? Also this is NOT clearly outlined and in my mind is borderline false advertising. I complained about this and suggested that they amend their advertising to make it clear as to what you are actually charged (not just $9.99!). Note: They did refund me the extra $8.50 charge when I complained.
Pay per view has quite a few popular, dated movies that I actuly want to watch, that leaves me wondering what the point of the subscription is.
Finally the worst of all, cancelling. I went to cancel online to find I could not! You have to call their 0800 number and wait on hold to reach one of their CSRs just to cancel your account. What makes matters worse is if you cancel your subscription right away you lose all your remaining time! In my case I only signed up a few days ago, but was told if I cancel now I lose the rest of my month.
So overall I havent had all that plesent of an experience. I can forgive some issues and chalk it up to their launch, but I seem to have been hit left right and center. It's a real pitty as I want to support a service like this, but they have made it so hard.
I'm currently in no rush to go back.

crackrdbycracku: ronw:
why would they put all their good content up straight away.
To encourage people to sign up and stay signed up?
ronw:
I am content to wait and see what eventuates
Yeah, so are most of us. But most of us are waiting to see what eventuates before we hand over hard earned.
If you are not ready to go to market, don't go to market.
This company had a very good opportunity to be impressive at launch, but only one opportunity to do so. They have failed and now will have a harder road ahead.
I feel very sorry for them because they just burned all the pre-launch good will, stupid really.
They promise apps for more devices and more content 'Any day now'. Cool, I'll sign up "any day now".
ronw: !. Why pay when you could have the first 21 days free. You were not asked to pay just to put in the promo code which has been mentioned preciously.
2. It has only been going a few days and as the majority of signups are probably the promo codes ones why would they put all their good content up straight away. I am sure more good stuff will be coming down track.
They are also working to include other TV's so it will not just be Sony Bravia
3. As I understand it the $8.50 is for streaming of the non PPV items. You can watch as many of those you like for the one monthly fee.
Obviously PPV will be newer content and will compete with the local video store.
I note from the news release that HBO have taken a share in the company so I hop this will mean that HBO content will eventually be part of the Quickflix service.
I am content to wait and see what eventuates

Yeah, basically anything you don't see in New Release at the video store has no place in PPV.?
I just can't get my head around 10 TV series ... and a promise of more 'real soon'. Who are they trying to kid??
The real shame for me is I want QuickFlix to succeed, I really do. I want to be a customer, I just won't sign up to a service like this.?
