It doesn't really matter about if its profitable or not. I would imagine they don't want to lose a significant amount of customers by being so slack in releasing connect. They will lose a significant a lot of people if they continue to be slack. Have studied accounting and businesses always want to maximize profit.

Maybe. But I don't think the number of connect customers who are only connect customers would cover the cost of development. Spending a few million in NZ to make less back in their global business doesn't make sense. I imagine they have set aside a certain amount of resources to develop and those resources will not be increased to make it quicker

Thats true. Although Bein Sports could attract more people direct without having to sky compared to people with sky. That's why I don't get the supposed agreement with sky to delay it. I hate Sky Television and a lot of people feel the same. Communication has been appalling and Bein Sports are close to becoming the most hated company along with sky.

I just signed up for Sling tv with Kiwibank card and a dns service. it works really well but there is only access to one NBCsport channel so cannot access the on demand. They are showing the Man Utd game followed by City then Arsenal tonight.

I have sky/Bein but unfortunately I am a palace fan and they are not showing that game until 9pm on Sunday. So I have to stay up and watch on the Skygo app which is hopeless, always freezing despite having Fibre.

I think the Sky service is the best one if you are a big club fan as you can record and watch on Sunday morning. Missing PLP right now and doubt if BEIN will get an on demand service going anytime soon.

NBC do show the clashing 3pm (3am NZT) games on their other channels like CNBC so if you have added CNBC to your SlingTV package you might be able to watch Palace if their game is on that channel.

Bring back PLP.

It worked when you wanted to watch your game, Live, 1/2 way though or on Demand.

The current offering is not in the best interest of the fans.

If we are subscribed to Sky BeIN - do we get any online streaming options? Its nice to be able to watch the game from my bedroom on my laptop instead of going to the living room.

Blame the EPL, they wanted to seek the most money for their product and doesn't appear to matter if a local market actually has access.  I personally hated PLP as the quality was terrible and lack of integration to my TV setup was crap but I do appreciate what it did.

We're dealing with the failed asia market approach by BEin sport and Sky where the only ones to take the 'financial' hit by paying BEin what they wanted to resell; sure some people might have got Sky Basic for this, but if we believe Sky, they're not charging anything extra for the channels and will be absorbing the costs to run the service.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

I haven't seen the BEin channels show up on Skygo yet, I think they only show if the main channels are overloaded with games.

Sky has the Bein pop ups if the "on the box" channels are full with games. This means that you still have to stay up all night to watch your game if it isn't on the skybox as you can only watch it live on the sky app.

Can't log in with my sky log in, says invalid credentials. Unsure whether this may be because we moved the sky billing to vodafone recently or if cause it hasn't officially launched yet?

No on-demand or catch-up service.

Looks like I'm going back to Sky. My kids are older and they, along with my wife, are keen to watch sports other than football now. Our 20MB connection does ok with streaming but I miss football in HD.

Although my experience with PLP was nothing short of awful, I honestly thought it was going the right way and we would see other sports pull away from Sky. But the big, old monopoly wins in the end.

Well, the screen to take my payment isn't working so to be fair I am not much closer to getting this service.

What's the point of a streaming service without an on-demand feature for something that occurs mostly in the middle of the night? Interested to hear the justification for not having it. I get some people only want to watch live which is fine, but some of us who work all week and also have sport/family commitments on Saturday mornings choose not to get up at 3am on our Sundays.
