SPEED (1994) has been upgraded to Dolby Vision.

I bought this when it was $4.99, so, a free upgrade to 4K for me 😎

The 4-Movie INDIANA JONES Bundle is back down to $19.99 for a limited time.

This is a great buy, as all four films will be upgraded to Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos in early June, possibly earlier.

Raiders has already been given an Atmos audio track.

I watched my upgraded to Dolby Vision version of SPEED (1994) yesterday. The film looked great, and the Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 audio, was superb upscaled by my receiver. Though I had to increase the volume more than I normally listen at. $4.99 well spent.

I splurged on the Action/Adventure Bundles this week. I picked up the Indiana Jones, Fast & Furious and Jack Reacher Bundles. Which takes my iTunes collection to 303 Titles 😎

Two questions that hopefully don't need a new thread -

If you buy two apple devices and both have a years free Apple TV (the service), or whatever its called, would you be able to get two years free Apple TV ? I guess the answer is no, but asking is free.

Why is it so difficult to browse for apps for the Apple TV device on a browser for NZ (or anywhere) ? I can't find a link to check them out to see what there is before I buy an Apple TV.

We will be running out of our iPad mini purchase (free 12 months plus 6 months extension [thanks ]) on the 29 April. But that will tie in nicely with our newly ordered TV 64Gb due to arrive in 2-3 weeks. So I'll run with the existing freebie then activate the new freebie.

My partner would like to get the next gen 7 Watch which apparently is going to have BSL monitoring built in. So we will add that freebie on and then by the time that runs out 2 years would of gone, or thereabouts, and then it might be time to upgrade the iPhone 7's. Then it will be time to replace the late 2014 iMac.

So the cycle of  love and freebies continues I hope 😀

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Is there a specific app that you are looking for? I can check it out for you. The Apple TV 4K has many apps available including:-

TVNZ On Demand - Three Now - Netflix - You Tube - Spark Sport - Apple TV+ - Apple Music - Infuse 7 (for streaming movie backups) - Disney plus - Prime Video - Neon - Vimeo (Music Videos) - Spotify - Sky Sport Now - CNN and many more.

Its arguably the best Media Box available, and watching movies in 4K from the iTunes store, is amazing. I use it for all of my TV and Music apps.

Hope this helps 😀

No thanks, should be good. I was thinking of those (well, most of them). I believe you can add UK ones as well, if you have a UK iTunes account. You'd think you could just go to a NZ TvOS app site and find them all in one go though.

Seeing as I buy most of my media as discs, I'll also have a go at streaming it via Emby, either using the TvOS Emby app or Infuse as an intermediary. Emby is great but its not so good with HDR stuff on Apple TVs apparently.

Oh well, I just bought an iPod for the other half for Mothers Day as her existing Nano is on the way out, and I also ordered a new 4K, so not much overlap for us unfortunately.

I do not know much, if anything, about Plex or Infuse. We have a totally Apple household and with the soon expected arrival of the new TV it will round things out nicely. We have Ethernet and home Wifi connections between the iMac and Yamaha AV Reciever RX-V1085 and the 2014 Panasonic Viera TH-L50E6Z via our Spark Smart modem and an Edimax 5 port Ethernet Switch. So I plan to connect to my iMac where I have bunch of movies stored which appear in the iMac Apple TV app.

My question is then, would I need Plex or Infuse with this setup, I'm thinking not but I am not conversant with Plex or Infuse.
