You can also pay for matches with ITV (£6.95 per match, quite steep).
But yes ITV streaming quality is less than SD, quite pixelated, not great. Not sure if they have a special service for the RWC.

I absolutely despise Sky and don't want to sponsor them in any way so I'm likely to go the ITV route via proxy/VPN/DNS

Have used Sky 'fan pass' app on my android Tablet mirrored to my Samsung TV and also to my Roku3 (which is better as I can see that on any of three TV's) .. and it streams very well, only had one problem with it, where it wouldn't load frown but got that sorted.

Was also considering ITV via the Roku3 (UK sign in) but if the quality isn't good (from the previous comments) this will be of substandard quality and maybe I would be better off paying (which I am happy to do).

Just seen on an Email today that Roku (US sign in) have a WatchRWC2015 app run by Universal Sports (official broadcaster) .. paid subscription.. has anyone used them for anything else? Would be interested in hearing any past experiences.

EDIT: ITV on the Roku3 worked via Unblock US

I have just found that Unotelly allows access to Zattoo.com which broadcasts ITV live in Switzerland. It's free, all you have to do is sign up.
Quality is pretty good.

Is there anything that will work in plex or kodi?  Looks like the itv plex channel is dead, unsure if there's a kodi one.  Zattoo?  That doesn't seem supported either.

I guess if I really have to I use chrome on my brix...but I always prefer using a media box.

Do you have have a UK Roku for ITV? Or is ITV available with a US region Roku?

You need a uk roku.  Which you can do with a US one...but means doing a reset, creating a uk roku account and then attaching roku to that.

Always sounded like a painful process and didn't sound like you could easily switch between the 2 (ie sign out uk and sign in US).

You need to set up a UK Roku account .. not as easy as it sounds :) .. but once done you need to reset your Roku and reload with your UK account

I have a roku, but don't like the idea of changing the region from US just for a few weeks.

Will the games be available on the ITV website? And more importantly will it work via chromecast?

I'd expect so, thats probably how I'll end up watching them, the off the web site bit, I have a computer attached to my tv.  Or proxying to work from home.  For the couple of during the week ones that start at 7am

If you have access to unotelly or similar to create a VPN on a tablet or your phone or PC then you can access the roku UK website and create an address.  The VPN enables you to appear to be present in the UK..or USA

Once you have the account/address entered its a factory reset on the roku box and then link the roku box with the account you just set up via a "link code" provided by the reset process.

enter in the link code to your account and "pair" the device with the account then it downloads the channels from the UK or USA store dependent upon where you have opened it.

I created a UK account and a USA account. Once you have them established its not difficult to "unlink" and "link" as you see fit.

ITV player will also ask for a UK postcode on initial set up before it lets loose watching live streamed coronation street...

Once you get your head around how to get all the ducks lined up its quite a straight forward process, not the easiest in the world but ..

Ahh, I saw thing detailing creating accounts for either....but never anything describing how to switch between them once you'd done it.

Hmm, now I just need to find a UK vpn then.....

Great. I will give it a try on Saturday morning to watch the Hakarena's playing Fiji. :-)

Also just realized that ITV has a playstation app. I might just try that out too.
