I purchased a My Box - they sent me an invoice immediately which i paid straight away.  I sent conformation of payment which they replied to saying they would get this dispatched.  Nothing happened.  I sent a few emails and not one response.  Until they send me the item or have the manners to reply i will keep posting these comments on this medium as well as others.  Currently regretting purchasing - stay away would be my advise.

You should definitely pursue this. This character is moving up the criminal scale in his activities. Initially it was just copyright violation by providing links to illegal sources and misleading his customers (and grossly overcharging them). Now apparently he is taking money for goods he is not delivering, which makes him an out and out fraudster ripe for prosecution and prison.

With a warning to cease sales or face a weekly bill. I'm not surprised...

Did you pay by credit card or bank transfer?

If you paid by credit card you may be abl eto cancel the transaction - worth a try....

And they're now spamming. I just received an email - which I have submitted to the DIA Spam Complaint team.

 

I have never dealt with this company, I have not registered for their mailing list but yet I received an unsolicited commercial email.

 

Spam reported. I hope the DIA fines them.

 

Yep, just received an email from the DIA: "We have undertaken an investigation into this matter and have determined that My Box had acted in contravention of the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 (the Act) by sending unsolicited commercial electronic messages. As a result of our investigation, the Department has issued My Box with an infringement notice for breaches of section 9(1) of the Act."

I think beyond the spamming and fraud, there's the issue of copyright infringement, which if memory serves is what the comotion was all about with Kim Dot Com.

Surely this should be treated as harshly, if not more so?

yes i too bought one of these returned it within 14 days. took him 3 weeks to collect from post office.  wont reply to any e mails  or return ph calls

waiting to see when his court date is with sky then will confront him
