If I sign up for Amazon Prime Video US region, Can I use my NZ CC?

I've got a Fire TV 4K that won't support the NZ Prime Video :(

I assume DNS4Me supports Amazon Prime? (just being lazy now - I'll check that part when I get home).

Cheers

I got Amazon US Prime for a month to buy something on Prime day. I'm finding Prime Music really good, it does much better with song selections than Spotify, which I never much liked. I had a quick look at Amazon Prime Video, and found the selection really poor - "not available in your location". I even found Sneaky Pete which they make themselves is mostly available, but episode one season one isn't available - nuts! I looked a a few dozen titles, none would play. So there's not much values in Amazon Prime Video IMHO.

But for US$12 a month or whatever having some decent streaming movies, a bit of video, and free US delivery isn't bad. I'll probably cancel it but might then try Amazon Music Unlimited.

I suggest looking at https://www.justwatch.com/nz/provider/amazon-prime-video and https://www.moneyhub.co.nz/amazon-prime-video-review.html to see the latest content.

I signed up primarily to get access to Too Old to Die Young (weird film noir Amazon production, not being renewed), but will keep it based on the HUGE movie choice. Lot of niche stuff there, good price IMO.

The Money Hub article has been updated today to reflect:

amazon's introductionary offer: "Pricing is affordable; the first 30 days is free, followed by a US$2.99/month (approx NZ$4.85) trial for six months"

via this portal: Welcome to Prime Video

and their addtional channel subscriptions: "Additional channels are offered, but these cost extra on top of your per-month subscription. Examples include American cable networks such as HBO, Starz, ShowTime, CinePride, HereTV, and more. The extra channels cost between US$4 to US$10 per month."

via this portal:  Amazon Prime Video Channels

and that: "If you decide to take a break, you can suspend your subscription for as long as you want. With Netflix, you have to cancel your entire account."

via your account page

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Are those lists even remotely correct? I picked half a dozen movies/tv shows from the JustWatch list and they all show as unavailable in my location. 😐

They all show for me. Can you name a couple of programs?

Only one I had unavailable was "The Expanse",  then it came available a few days later, they'd just put the title up early on Prime Video.

Of the first four items on the list (The Boys, Hawaii Five-O, Vinland Saga, and House), I can only watch only The Boys. Vinland Saga and House say "This title isn't available in your location" and Hawaii Five-O says "included with CBS All Access".

I tested a house one,  8  seasons, played fine the one I tested.

Hawaii Five 0, went into season 5 on Episode 1 has watch now.

CBS Access is an American service, sounds like it thinks you're in America.

Yeah, I have been really happy with Prime Video NZ version. No issues when wanting a change form Netflix (do wish it had profiles like Netflix tho) and I get a free Twitch Prime sub as well to give to a streamer.

Has anyone got US content working through the TV app or Android app with dns4me?
Only seems to work in a browser, not sure if I am missing something obvious.

They have picked up The Expanse for season 4 as well.  Hope we get to see that in NZ.

Amazon PR person told me The Expanse will no longer be coming to Amazon Prime Video in New Zealand.

I had completely forgot about the Expanse being released but then my LG tv showed it on the home screen for Prime and it played perfectly. So looks like Amazon might of changed their mind.

Yes! Watching The Expanse season 4 now. But why is The Grand Tour season 4 region locked here in NZ?

Got a notification yesterday that Expanse Season 4 was available. Immediately downloaded 4 episodes for bus travel viewing.
