Note to all

The livestream at 1-30pm (and any others) are only showing under Home. Under Home is Whats On, which lists all the live streams that are scheduled.

I have suggested What's On is included under each sport as well, for its own sports

Talkiet:

Roll on 1:30pm for the first (public) live test.

The response since beta launch has been relatively good here - despite a few people still finding any and all reason to be negative... It's not as bad as I saw in one FB group though which ended in what I thought was a funny fashion, with this snarky comment..

"I swear, spark could have sent coke and hookers to your house in between practise 1 and 2 and you'd complain about the purity."

Just for clarity, even as a promotional offer for new customers, we're sending neither coke nor hookers to anyone's house. Even if we were (and we're not!), the purity would likely be best efforts and not guaranteed.

Cheers - N

If its the FB Group I think you are talking about there is a bunch you will never keep happy... Also those people wouldnt realise how much needs to go in to this to make it work... Look at some of the work they do on their own stuff... Makes Lemons Racing look like f1..

As long as we get to see parts of FP1 I will be happy - At least most of us here understand its a first public test and there is bound to be some teething issues

I was just up with the spark sport folk, they are all looking pretty ready!

should anything go wrong they are all ready to pounce on it.

Based on my personal experience so far, i'm fully expecting it to go without a hitch.

I'm already feeling sick about the quality on tvnz duke compared ;)

I have just live streamed Duke and there's Formula E on ... looks rubbish.  Waiting to see the F1 feed.  Are you saying SparkSport is way better?

IMO, yes.

on paper, 2.9mbit vs 6mbit max bitrate is a huge difference.

YMMV?

Right so a fail so far.  The TVNZ ondemand app is refusing to load the stream and instead is bringing up errors in connecting.  The Spark Sport app is bring up DRM errors when trying to cast to my Shield TV; ok a full app kill and restart has solved the DRM issue but I shouldn't have to do that.  Killing TVNZ on demand app hasn't improved anything.

Devices are Nokia 7.1 plus (android 9) & nVidia Shield TV (Android 8 & Latest Geforce Experience installed; 7.2.3)

What's up with the stream?  Its showing a corner only with nothing else?  I would have thought that the Sky team would be visible now?  Can anyone confirm that the feed is right?

hooked intel NUC up to TV - rejigged some connections.

Stream via chrome, looking tops!

Best to view on PC\Mac\Linux currently IMO.

Now for the start of the F1 season.

Try closing the app (swipe it or w/e so it exits fully) and reopen.

TVNZ for me is failing to stream on PC.

SS, 1080P 60fps solid on laptop

Mobile, the same. it's looking crisp to me.

Its a standard locked off establishment shot by the looks, we are getting the good feed! They have just done track Clarence, Commentary team prob getting in place to start soon.

This is pretty textbook OSB feed we are seeing

I had the DRM issue message as well. Just refreshed the page (using chrome on laptop). Waiting for Spark to realise they have the wrong world feed and it should be coming from Sky UK ( which i believe is the international english language feed)

This is the Sky UK International Feed by the looks. Feeds are always up and locked off early for those "just in case" moments.

The audio we are getting the the effects channels right now which is injected down the line from the other audio channels.
