Tested on Chrome, FF & android, all working great although I have seen some odd micro stuttering on one PC with Chrome.

Really impressed with the quality.

The great thing for you guys being on here is the direct feedback from generally tech savvy users; the bad thing is you'll also get critism!

While I'm currently disappointed because of the micro stutter,  I don't want this to fail otherwise how would I get F1.

SS app on Android 9 (Nokia 7.1 Plus) cast directly to a 2017 nvidia shield (Android TV 8); VDSL with 37 down of which I'm the only one using the connection.  Browser seemed better but didnt keep it on.

Spark Sport app is better quality (playing feed via vlc) but TNVZ feed has no stutters

hio77:

c0ld: Bit of feedback for the Android app. On my mobile device (Huawei P20, Android P) it cuts off the top & bottom in fullscreen (versus browser on my PC). Same for the ondemand content. Tried to screenshot from my mobile to show comparison but guessing drm or something is causing it to take a blank screen.

Apart from that it's smooth & decent resolution so far (watching fp1). Massively better quality than say Sky Go :)

i have this with my Mate 20 pro too. i never noticed it when testing the app before as i wasnt comparing directly between two screens.

I've passed the feedback and if SS want an example i'll happily go back up and show them :)

Fairly sure it's the devices 18.7:9 screen ratio causing it. Usually when you play 16:9 content it fills the vertical but you get empty space on the horizontal (side to side). When watching this it fills the whole screen so guessing its full screening on the over-aspected horizontal but keeping aspect ratio of the content so cutting off top and bottom. Easy fix in the app I'm sure.

iOS app casting to a Chromecast 2 on gigabit fiber

Still and slow moving scenes look great. Very noticeable stutter on panning shots.

Interesting we have nearly identical hardware setups yet im not getting any stuttering.

Ive got a Nokia 7 Plus and a 2017 Shield TV. Im on Voyager UFB so that could be a thing.

I did just update and restart my shield. wonder if a restart would help it out?

yep agree on the slow stuff and prerecorded stuff, but panning shots (fast and slower) are updating slower than they should; either a microstutter or the framerate is below 20

is it happening directly on the phone? or only during casting?
