Just got one of these ,will be with me in a few days. I intend to install XBMC on it.

Anything I should be aware of before i get started??

Plex is also superb. The gaming controller is quite good too if that's your thing.

Ok so here we go
Google nexus player

1. search the house for two aaa batteries (found0
2. hmmm remote wont connect..... google search ... Ahh you have to repair it that is re and pair it
3. Ok now we are cooking....
Love google gear its so ....proffesional
4. Install Kodi easy select app install
5. Install chrome.....hmmmm install chrome (nope Anyone?)
6. Of course that means I will need a bluetooth mouse and keyboard.....
7. lets try google search speech Ok it understands me and enters it into the search frame Search is in apps for "chrome"
Hmm after it enters it it wont perform the search and times out (anyone?)
8 . Google play all my music right there cool Now if I can just find the volume control on the remote !

So a real learning curve. Overall impression way cool not for the average joe Way to complicated and very difficult to setup

But a definite improvement on bsic kodi on a pc

So had the unit functional for about a week

Ho Hum...

No volume control? whats with that?

Is there an app or the likes to bring up a browser to access live tv channels , like chrome?

I know i can do it through xbmc but I would have thought ....

Twitter facebook access?
