Talkiet:

I hope you're all happy now with the 3 minutes and 23 seconds of dead air for the ad breaks.

N. :-)

Ah. Good to know. I wasn't 100% sure so I started Safari to see the F1 logo, when the iPad continued the pre show, the web version on my laptop didn't. I clicked pause/start no go. Refreshed the webpage and it worked. Seems Safari, or web version, or just me wasn't auto retrying the feed?

cyril7: Having good results on an LG 4k using the built-in webos browser, smooth and no anomalies notes to date. Did have a low grade i3 laptop on before but had frame rate issues.

Long story short, our old Panasonic died a couple of o
day's back, decided on a 55uk6700 LG, pleased so far, and doubly pleased the built-in Web browser seems to work well spark sport, plus my wireless logitec mouse/keyboard works seamlessly too.

The TV supports the drm and all in web? That's actually quite impressive.

Great advice. I was having a bit of my trouble with stuttering on both my S8 and my laptop and trying to cast to Samsung 4K tv certainly didn't improve things.....didn't have much confidence in the native tv browser given couldn't even get Edge to work on PC......but perfect! Very happy

But having stalls every 40-60sec, this happens on laptop also, does not happen with Brazil footage or wrc. Is also happening on the golf course filler.

Just as a feedback comparison. it's perfect here. I saw one video glitch, maybe 10 minutes ago, for one second, that's it. iPad Air 1 casting the SS app with CC Ultra to TV. Spark Fibre.

So far a solid app and cast to my lounge shield. Great picture and no judderyness that I've seen.

Change of presentation around ads is better in terms of continuity but perhaps a count down timer and a spark sport splash with why its there or something so that users know that the steam hasn't stopped.

Good idea, as while my iPad cast resumed after the ad my test web version of SS on my laptop didnt resume. Took a browser refresh to kick in into action,Macbook, Safari in case anyone else using that

Possible bug in android app, sometimes the cast notification gets replaced by a generic bitmovin player v7.1 + stable rather than a normal app cast screen.

Pressing this cast notification does not bring up the app as normal, suspect its due to a partial app crash.

I don't think the pre-race hands over to the main event when the pre-race finishes, I had to manually do it?

Yeah that's poor user experience. Was thoroughly confused for a minute there.

I  couldn't start the Race feed. It seemed to not let go of the ore race as that was loosed on the bottom of the iPad app. Uncasted, no change. Shut down iPad app, restarted the app and ok.

Interesting now moved to the main race stream and the stalling has gone, so maybe something amiss with its config.

Audio seems a little odd, like too much treble in the engine and the voice is too low.

App crash and casting stopped again. Had to kill the app and restart. Could spark add a resume option to the live feed so I don't lose where I was upto., similar to what would happen with the sky box if it crashed.
