Browsing other forums, I found that Warner Bros. are re-listing their HDR10/Dolby Vision upgrades on iTunes.

This means that if you already own the movie in SD/HD, then you will have to re-purchase the film to get the upgrade.

There are several titles that have been upgraded with new listings in other countries, but we haven't got them as yet. I checked on iTunes, and there are new listings which are still in HD. We can expect them to be upgraded over the next week or so.

This is poor form from Warner Bros. They agreed with Apple to upgrade for free. Re-listing them with new artwork must let them get around the agreement. Hopefully other studios won't follow suit.

As I can't find the Apple TV 4K thread, and this news is relevant to iTunes movie collectors, I will post it here, and also in the Apple TV 4K thread when I find it.

NEW APPLE TV 4K (Generation 7) will release in NZ on November 4th.

There will be two options:-

(1) 64gb with Wi-Fi Connection $279: 4K Video, A15 Bionic Chip, Siri remote with USB-C Connector.

(2) 128gb with Wi-Fi and Ethernet Connection $319: 4K Video, Thread Networking Support, Gigabit Ethernet, A15 Bionic Chip, Siri Remote with USB-C Connector.

I don't think that this new box will be a big enough upgrade for me (I already have last year's 6th Generation box).

Apparently the new box will support HDR10+, so Samsung and some Panasonic TV owners will benefit from that.
