Benoire: App crash and casting stopped again. Had to kill the app and restart. Could spark add a resume option to the live feed so I don't lose where I was upto., similar to what would happen with the sky box if it crashed.

Had a crash also, but first one I’ve had all weekend. Had to restart app and re cast.

But if it only happens once or so, I can’t complain.

My stream dropped out too, on Chromecast (Android TV Hardwired Connection). During the Riccardo replays.

I agree that a handy feature for could be, would you like to continue onto the next part of coverage.

Or even F1 on Race Weekend becomes a "Live Channel" with an EPG, so it's all one stream event.

Other than that hiccup, the quality is great and I really appreciate all the support & information on here from the Spark Sport guys!

Live at about lap 13 I think

On iPad app with CC Ultra to TV

I can't rewind the cast.  Why?

I can stop casting, rewind the live in the app (and therefore watch from earlier), then cast again ... but I end up in the "live" position on the cast.

This is no good.

Confirm good picture & sound though.

EDIT was adding a key missing word

So I’ve tried this a few more times and it’s consistent. I can move myself back and forward (to current) within the app (moving the red dot on the line). Effectively I can rewind. BUT my cast of the race remains live. The cast ignores my command. I can try to change it whilst casting, or I can uncast, change position, then cast again. It ignores me, plays live and that’s that.

This is not working for us.

So nowI closed the app, restarted it, chose watch from the beginning. It dropped me in live (not the beginning).
This is not working

Tried again.
Close iPad app and turn off iPad
Get iPhone, open the app, choose watch from start - nope, it’s live
Holy sh!t - I could come along late to the race, choose watch from start and witness the finish.
Arrrgggh

Looks lovely though (eyeroll)

Lost 5 laps due to app crash and couldnt get casting to load to the right place, spark need to urgently fix this as its terrible for racing series. Annnnnd the app has completely crashed killing the cast when my phone switched to night mode... Possible bug there.

Benoire: Possible bug in android app, sometimes the cast notification gets replaced by a generic bitmovin player v7.1 + stable rather than a normal app cast screen.

Pressing this cast notification does not bring up the app as normal, suspect its due to a partial app crash.

This sounds like power saving possibly kicking in on android. Your not on android 9 by chance are you?

I think for the first event on platform Spark have done a great job. Only had one small hitch.

But quality of steam was top notch and I for one enjoyed it and looking forward to rest of F1 season.

Thanks for that! If the hitch was during a replay of Riccardo's incident, then we are aware of it and are chasing down the root cause now.

Cheers - N

Hmm just trying to watch the race now, but when casting (iOS) to CC2 I can’t seem to get the cast to start from the start of coverage, so just had the podium presentation on the big screen! Bugger. Then trying to ‘rewind’ rewinds the app, but not the feed. Any ideas?

Re ad breaks, why not do a Redbull TV? IE show ads for Spark Sport upcoming events etc? Maybe even Lightbox shows?
