It's confirmed, email came out this morning at sky HQ.
same day that PLP went live as well :P
don't think they will be to happy with us.
As an Arsenal fan this is the best news I have heard in a long time! I already pay for Sky Sports HD so now for no extra cost I can watch every Arsenal game in HD and 5.1 sound. On top of that it looks like we will be getting the FA cup games as well :) It might not be live but I always watched it delayed anyway.
Thankyou Sky.
With this news the chances of Colliseum failing have increased massively!!! :)
As a fellow Arsenal fan I totally agree with you. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Colliseum
So there will be NO live games?! Personnely I don't see any positives...nothing beats watching (the mighty Blues) without knowing the score!
wellymusic: Having moved back to NZ from 12 years in London, and equipping myself with a shiny new Panny 55 plasma - and watching the poor attempt of streaming quality from PLP, I have been inconsolable for the last month about Sky's EPL failing for a couple of days.
Today is a joyous day - is the understatement of the century..... now if only Arsene would open his cheque book, it might be a decent season!

Stump up the 55m and we'll give you the bitter. We'll throw in Downing for free.
Common sense is not as common as you think.

The quality of Arsenal TV will depend on how they get the feed I would imagine.
If it is just you going to the Arsenal hosted server then as it is in London you are probably the furtherest away you can be so get the worst possible speeds. And it also depends on when you watch to as how busy their server is and how busy NZ networks are.
langers1972: I repeat my wish for a dedicated Sky Football channel separate from the SkySport bundle, $15ish a month and I'd be in
schmichael: I have been massively disappointed by all concerned in this deal. I tried to email the EPL to give them some "feedback", but their 'contact us' page on the website wouldn't load!! I wonder why?
As a Man United fan I am really hoping that Sky get them as the fourth club. Given that Sommet have been broadcasting their pre-season games, I suspect that they will have them though. I have big concerns over the quality though, even thru Sky. I think HD EPL footy is off the table in the near future.
Re: viewing times, from the Man U TV site
Premier League games
MUTV can show it from…
Mid-week... Midnight that night
Saturday... 6pm on a Sunday
Sunday... Midnight that night
Champions League games
MUTV can show it from…
Mid-week... Midnight that night
FA CUP games
MUTV can show it from…
Monday to Thursday... 10pm the following day
Friday & Saturday... Midday on Sunday
Sunday... Midday on Monday
Capital One Cup games
MUTV can show it from…
Tuesday & Wednesday... Midnight on Wednesday
since we're 12 hours ahead, that indicates that Saturday EPL games should be available at 6a.m. Monday???? and Sunday games should be available at 12 p.m Monday. I hope not.

"Coverage will be delayed, for example games played in the U.K. on Saturdays
will be available on SKY from 1.00pm on Sunday afternoon."
So either Sky (assuming they get Utd) are able to show the games prior to when they are allowed to be shown in the U.K which would make sense or some clubs will be shown on sunday afternoon but some, like Utd, can't be shown until Monday morning. The latter seems unlikely to me.

"from 1pm" hmm.. it doesn't actually say that is for the EPL. The article says "for eg games played" Maybe it means the FA cup games ? I don't know.
We need an official confirmation from SKY on all of this.
