I feel bad posting this, but was immediately reminded of Silicon Valley after Saturday night:

Normally I'd leave it on 60hz and match frame rate on, so that programs like Netflix and Plex can adjust the frame rate to 24 when required
But with match frame rate on it will come through at 60Hz. The only way to make it play at 50Hz is to set the video globally to 50Hz and turn of match frame rate. Which would mean all content will play at 50Hz.
Do you really think it’s better at 50Hz? When it is sent @60Hz?
Really depends on device honestly...
on the main tv here, i notice a massive difference in stuttering between the two.
on other tvs, it's totally unnoticeable. all depends on how the tv interprets the signal

Yeah, that's why I said "normally" as in you'd have to disable match frame because the Spark Sport app will flick it back to 60hz
I agree with hio that it's probably device/tv dependent, for example neither Chromecast to the Shield TV nor Apple Airplay (to the same ATV4k) exhibit jitter at 60hz.. yet the Spark Sport app on tvOS does for me

good article
Several people on this thread have suggested that overloading is the problem, and now the above article says the same. Although Spark denies overloading was the cause, surely this is the most obvious reason for all the problems?
I went to a party at a friends place on Saturday at about 8pm. He had 3 TV's set-up, one of which was on Spark Sport viewing the RWC. He said that on Friday and for the Australia vs Fiji game earlier on Saturday he had all 3 TV's logged in through a variety of devices and they all were viewing the rugby. Then for the France vs Argentina game, the app stopped and it showed a message that too many were devices logged in on the account and to log out. He didn't realise that you are only supposed to have only 1 device logged-in/connected at a time.
It was only today whilst discussing the issue around the "water cooler" that I suddenly thought could it have been that load was a concern earlier in the day and Spark Sport enforced the 1 login per account rule to reduce load? Or could that have just been a coincidence?
If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.
Spark's facebook page is filling up again... Plenty of people having issues with tonights Wales v Georgia game
Pretty good since they announced today all matches from now on will be flawless
Panasonic 65GZ1000, Onkyo RZ730, Atmos 5.1.2, AppleTV 4K, Nest Mini's, PS5, PS3, MacbookPro, iPad Pro, Apple watch SE2, iPhone 15+

Other production issues or stream quality/buffering issues?
Sounds like stream/buffering issues...

Honestly, the comments i'm seeing there look to be the dreads.
Which is totally to be expected with a streaming service.
I would expect to see the same here and elsewhere if it was a wide spread thing.

I suspect the people that are complaining don't even have Spark Sport, and are hoping to make enough noise in the hopes it gets shown on Duke

Fun fact, i get it with a chromecast ultra ;)
Totally device dependent!
Chromecast has a nice toggle to fix it though.

Brilliant thanks for posting that. Yes, it must have been just like that at Spark HQ :)
