End of the day, if it has value you can buy it. Or not. Same as cabbages or Air Fryers

In behind the ease of watching content online, its not just a stream. Investors, Directors, Producers, and the myriad in the credits need to be paid, oh yeah and the actors/actresses. Its not like thats free.

For all of us it would be cheaper (as in free) to pirate it. Pirate everything. Sweet. Who pays the above Ive already noted? Then content ceases, and who complains?......

Bung:

What are you getting $149.99 per year is the current rate for 1080p 5.1 audio 2 concurrent streams. $189.99 is 4k UHD Atmos 4 concurrent streams.

Have they bumped you up without you knowing or agreeing.

I don't think the Premium tier existed when I signed up. Seems like they invented it by removing some features from the old plan, renaming that plan as Standard, then charging $40 for the new one if you want them back.

If signed up before 4 March (I believe that is when the new tier became effective), got 4K at the old price for the annual until it expires.

I was on monthly, but saw price increase was coming for 4K, so changed it to an annual mid February when my plan rolled. So for 149.99 get 4K for a year, then what ever price after that time.

I kept  it on monthly as expected a price increase was coming, so it gave me maximum flexibility when news of price increase was announced.

My impression is at beginning streaming services were more focused on number of subscribers than profit, but now they are more interested in profit. Still finding it a better deal than cable and better experience at present. Will keep an eye on future developments. If they all start going well into the $20 mark plus will start treating it more like a luxury, maybe consider just paying for HD versions in future. Seems to be a 30-33 percent extra charge for 4K above HD.

Haven’t had any problems with household usage to date, though I only watch on smart TV’s at the one address, so guess that makes it easier.
