No doubt, the usual white noise. They will label this as evidence of a fail. The SmartVU will get some off non supported devices, which is the key issue. From Sparks releases, there are no issues with supported devices in terms of display result and functionality. Thats what I see on my supported devices. What Stuff need to get to grips with is that some people need help, they have had no prior need to get with the play, aka use streaming, but I would wager that once they are sorted with a proper device, they are likely to enjoy the other apps on it as well.

@hio77 is the 1 hour delay version of the all blacks game tonight that’s listed on the app available free to view? (And is this the reason it’s not available in tvnz on demand?)

Anthems etc look mint on the SS app on the Shield with the pie update (nVida experience 8.0.1) which came through earlier today.

I’m happily watching the current AB vs. Canada game in Bali (thanks to Express VPN). Impressive quality considering I’m on a fairly average DSL line and going through a VPN to NZ and back.

VPN only required for a second to start the stream, then can be dropped for better performance

TVNZ On demand doesnt have online streaming rights to my understanding.

So it's purely the Duke viewing of it, otherwise you must watch through sparksport.

the one hour delay is new to me, I obviously haven't been keeping up with recent changes. VOD will be up sometime after that.

Yes, so basically if you sign up for a spark sport account, and don't enter your credit card, you then get the option you mentioned that it can be watched on a 1 hour delay.

The only really dumb thing (imho) is that if you click on Rugby World Cup 2019 at the top, you don't get the option for the 1 hr delayed feed, you need to scroll down on the front page and go to whats on in order to see the option for the 1hour delayed game.

The previous games I've watched via the Spark Sports app sideloaded onto an Xiaomi Mi box. No issues apart from the ones documented during the first AB game. This time I tried via Chromecast Ultra cast from Android phone. Also worked just fine.

i was contacted by the Spark Sport Team yesterday. One of them gave me a ring to discuss issues in a more technical manner and offered to have someone come by to run a few tests etc.

Was at work so not able to meet the tech but was able to share a ton of technical information with them.
Much of my problems were to do with the Samsung TV App. Switching to Chromecast or ATV seems produce a flawless stream. Constant quality drops was an annoying issue

I’ve also tested several other TV apps and used a number of other fibre connections to run tests.

Was great to see them reach out for more info and all of my diagnosis and info was sent to the tech teams to help with assisting other customers. Good work Spark!
