Back to the Future III has been upgraded to Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos on the iTunes NZ store. All three movies in the series have now been upgraded. The three movie bundle is still at $14.99.

I also noticed that Jaws ($7.99) is now upgraded to Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos as well. Damn. I bought the 4K disc 'cos I thought that they weren't upgrading Jaws

This is awesome. 4K Back to the Future set is a great deal at $15. It’s a shame there are no extras. The old DVD set I have has some great extras.

As I never watch the extras, it doesn't bother me that there are none with the BTTF Trilogy. I realise many people are interested in the extras, and a lot of the iTunes movies do have excellent extras packages (so I'm told). But still, $14.99 for the three movies in DV/DA is an absolute steal in my book.

The Lord of the Rings Extended Editions have new artwork on the iTunes store. Most likely in preparation for the upcoming December release of the films in 4K,

Anyone who has already bought the LOTR Trilogy and/or The Hobbit Trilogy; keep your fingers crossed that you get a free upgrade when release time comes along.

Just had a count of the Disney/Marvel/Pixar/Lucasfilm movies that I have in my iTunes collection. I have seven, which were all originally free Digital Copies that I received with the Blu-ray discs that I own. So, I am hoping for 4K upgrades when/if the NZ iTunes store has their titles upgraded.

Looks like the 4K Trilogies for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit are up for pre order on JB Hifi AUS. $99 and $89 each. I wonder when they will appear on our Local Itunes and for how much? Another must buy on disc for me...and another bring it in from Oz as i dont see any sign of a pre order on our local JB Hifi web site.

I have also picked up a few more titles via Itunes, just some older titles like The Prince of Egypt,Galaxy Quest,It came from beneath the sea to name a few. A mish mash of stuff but all look good in HD but The Prince of Egypt is a title i would love to see in 4K. I hadnt seen it for a while and was still impressed with the animation from a 1998 feature. Still ummming over the Back to the Future Trilogy via streaming lol.

Gutted I missed out on this deal. Really wish Apple could email us of deals on our wishlist, or that there was a way to be alerted to their deals.

If LOTR etc is not available locally I might try from the US or UK. I'm still waiting for some movies from JB AU from the end of July...
