I was updating my iTunes/Apple TV film database earlier today, and I noticed that several titles that I own are not available to buy or rent any more. I was doing a search for my Rambo collection of all five films, but only Last Blood was available. There were others unavailable, but I didn't take note of the titles before deciding to enter this post. I immediately checked my library and found that all five movies were still in there and ready to watch. I did lose one title a while ago and it didn't come back so I was a bit worried when I saw the Rambo films missing.

We are unfortunately, at the mercy of Apple and their studio deals, but as long as any titles removed remain in our libraries, I can just about accept the uncertainty of it all 😒

I hadn't realised until I read a post on another forum that Sony are not including Dolby Atmos audio on their iTunes/Apple TV releases any more. Its strange, because they are in Atmos on some of the alternate US streaming platforms. We are not the only country that Sony are doing this on iTunes/Apple TV sites. Maybe its an Apple, Sony disagreement. Anyway, its a pain. I was slowly building my library again to save a few dollars on the exorbitant physical media prices, but I only buy Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos titles now. Speaking of which, I snagged The Woman King for $4.99 (Vision/Atmos) at the weekend. A box-office bomb, but a great Home Cinema film.

Its only started to happen recently with The Garfield Movie, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and the upcoming Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Hopefully its an oversight on Sony's part and those films will be upgraded at a later date.
