Seems someone is trying to cash in on the ITV loophole...

Clearly they are hoping people don't figure out they can do it themselves and cheaper.

It looks like iTV got a tersely-worded fax from the IRB, and have changed something in the Matrix. My DNS service is no longer working: "You have to be in the UK to watch this stream..." or whatever. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Maybe unblockus will regain access, and maybe not. It makes me wonder why US Netflix can't do the same thing. I guess they would have to forego all that cash being generated by the good folk living in 90210

I'm not so desperate for rubby that I'll watch it on Prime. After the superb iTV experience, it would be too hard going back to that. I guess I'll just have to wait until 2023.

I watched the end of the Wales / England game on ITV via the Roku live (but it doesn't have on demand Rugby) and then watched some on demand games also on ITV via PC streamed to the TV with Chromecast on Sunday Morning all via unblock US ... (I like that they also have the demand games unlike SKY Fan Pass), and quality is very good... but if things have changed I might have to revert to sky fanpass again (which has also been working perfectly on the TV via Chromecast) .. there goes saving a few dollars

It's the old game of whack-a-mole. The DNS redirector I'm using is still working fine.

Hopefully ITV still works on UnblockUS this weekend. I'm going to the Mother-in-Laws and want to watch AUvENG on Sunday morning.
Luckily I will be at home for ABs game on Saturday.

Well if Netflix hasn't managed to overcome the use of DNS services, the chance that ITV will be able to are fairly remote I would imagine.

I don't think netflix cares too greatly. Unlike hulu who actively try to block known vpn and dns services

I have just discovered the filmon app on roku. even has itv +1 channels

It is a private channel so you wont find it in the app store works on US roku account

Out of interest I installed this on my Roku. I found BBC and ITV channels (live) and they were viewable but the quality was not that good - I would say a bit below SD. And there is the Filmon TV logo on the top right hand corner.

ITV on the Kodi is much better when it's not buffering!

I seem to get better quality streaming from ITV player on the PC (via Chromecast), also get more (or maybe just easier to find) options for on demand games, than trying to watch on Roku, that said the British Roku ITV player set up seems to deliver a better quality stream than the Filmon app but the Filmon app means you don't need to reset your Roku.

I found the best quality to be on a PC but that isn't the best viewing experience. Second was ITV on Kodi going via HDMI to my big TV. Then the ITV app on a tablet going to the big TV over HDMI.

I didn't want to install the ITV app on my Roku because of having to reset it.

I, very handily, had a second Roku which I'm supposed to install for a friend, that I'm using.

For the record, it's a major PITA to reset. So many online guides have different reasons why you can't swap to the UK. I think it took me 7-8 factory resets and three hours to finally get it right.
