Esp with the black Friday specials, the firestick is an unbelievable value. I use Netflix, Disney+, Food TV, and Plex, extensively and it works really well.

The new remote alone is worth the price of admission.

The only issue I have now, is that with my LG TV and Fire TV, I do not have access to Google Play Movies nor Apple TV content as neither of them have the play store. It's the only thing I a missing from my Android TV I had before.

You’ve got access to Apple TV. The app works fine on the Firestick.

It’s on newer LG TVs as well.

That's weird, it wasn't showing as available to download for me at the time I last checked. I'll check again. I don't usually watch a lot of content directly from Apple.

Apparently, the silk browser will play google play movies too. If that works well, for $20 USD right now, can you find a better spend on home entertainment?

Admittedly I don’t have the shiny new firestick but it’s on my 2018 fire sticks. You could sideload at worst.

I probably couldn't be bothered sideloading for the infrequent times I would use it, I'd likely source the content elsewhere.

I tend to enjoy easy to read thriller/drama type books that are page turners.

I also enjoyed the Elvis Cole Joe Pike series.

For NZ they only offer the FireTV Basic / International Edition

Which you have to purchase via the US site rather than OZ

Yes the Amazon AU site seems reluctant to sell  tech items to NZ.  Have to buy from the US site.

Really pleased to see they've released an international version of the 4k Max, hopefully it might show up in retail over here.
