Quickflix announces partnership with LG

Quickflix has announced that it has entered into an agreement with LG Electronics to distribute the Quickflix digital service through connected LG televisions and Blu-ray players. The partnership covers both New Zealand and Australia and is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2013.

The new partnership with LG will extend the distribution of Quickflix streaming to the mainstream, making it the most accessible service of its kind in the region for subscription and pay-per-view movies and TV shows.

"LG is a major global electronics company with significant market share in New Zealand," says Quickflix NZ Managing Director Paddy Buckley.  "This new partnership further expands our addressable market and we are delighted that Quickflix will soon be available to owners of LG televisions and Blu-ray players."

Great, hopefully it is better than the PS3 app. By that I mean PPV included and better interface.

I aim to misbehave.
