Hi all
I'm thinking that UnoTelly UnoDNS Premium plus a NetFlix subscription will be the first Sky replacement I choose.

I wanted to know if it possible to have the NetFlix app on my TV A New Zealand Panasonic TH-P65VT50.
or is it bite the bullet and buy a Roku 3 or Apple TV 3 ?

I don't think the nz firmware will allow it, but would love to be proven wrong :)

We use Apple TVs for our NetFlix and find the implementation works really well. The PS3 has a NetFlix app to, but it was far inferior both in terms of UX and streaming quality.

Netflix has just updated all the various UI versions of their apps to look the same. PS3 version updated late last week, and looks really good.

Also, I have never had streaming issues watching it on my PS3, and streaming quality can be set to 1080 if you have the bandwidth. Only issues for me have been from my own network.

Netflix has just updated all the various UI versions of their apps to look the same. PS3 version updated late last week, and looks really good.

Picture quality is certainly inferior to the Apple TV in our setup, with both devices connecting via wifi.

I use unblock-us combined with roku 3 to watch Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazon + other channels and youtube!

If running ethernet cables is an issue, you could possibly try ethernet over powerline? It increased the throughput I was getting for video streaming by nearly fourfold, and was much more reliable/stable for video streaming. The kit isn't very expensive.

Thanks for the suggestion. What we have now works well enough via the Apple TV, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.

that sounds like the solution!- any pointers/pitfalls for me, havcing done all the hard work :) ? (I'm ethernet all round, so not wireless issues...)

Having looked today at the Roku models myself, of their range it'll need to be the Roku 3 for you, given it appears to be the only one with ethernet.

I'm in the same boat; Panasonic TV so can't use Netflix on that; have been told of the disadvantges of the computer-based interface, so am looking at the Apple TV or Roku. What are the key advantages of the Roku over the Apple TV? The flash remote doesn't interest me as I use a Harmony anyway.
