Hi
I have just got my first Smart TV which is a Panasonic TH-L42ET60Z. I wanted to view Netflix though the TV but can not get the App to show on the Apps screen of the TV

I have a valid Netflix account
I had a free weeks trial with Unblock-Us
I changed the WAN DNS setting on my Asus N55u modem router to those suggested by Unlock-US
I verified my IP address with Unlock-Us (may look to got to static IP as Telecom seems to change my IP a bit)
I have watched Netflix on 2 PC and 1 Tablet - so Netflix, Unlock-Us, and Wi-Fi works

Turn on the Panasonic TV and set up my Network connections
No Netflix App
Reset the TV to "shipping" mode and reset up my Network connections this time manually entering DNS to the same as my router
Still no Netflix app - just local New Zealand apps

Obviously the TV is set to NZ region

Question - Is there a way to reset the region option on the Panasonic TV?
              - Or any other options to view Netflix over a Panasonic TV
              - Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Ok
To reply to some of my own questions after a bit of research and mucking around

1. Can watch Netflix through my PS3 - not an ideal option
2. Can look to purchase an Apple TV or Roku3 - not an ideal option
3. Can access the TV's service menu 1 by holding the Vol - button and pushing i button on the remote 3 times. There does not seem anything in the service menu to adjust the TV's region

So still 1 possible option - reset the TV's region setting

Help - anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks

I was in the same boat as you when I purchased my L50ET60z, unfortunately like yourself I came up against a brick wall.
Easiest solution might be to invest in a Roku3 or AppleTV, I ended up using a couple of Chromecasts with a WRT variant router to handle all my Netflix needs.

Just a hunch but the presence of the 'Z' at the end of the model number suggests it might be a model specific to NZ (or at least has NZ-specific firmware), i.e. no way to get the international apps.

LG is similar - my LG Smart TV has firmware for AU / NZ  and a bunch of Asian countries, but none of them are Netflix countries so the app is simply impossible to get onto the TV despite the US / UK model of the exact same TV having it.
