I have not tried this yet myself but if you are after HBO checkout unblockus and http://hbonordic.com

Note theres more than just HBO on there (Hell on Wheels/Walking Dead(AMC), Luther(BBC), Battle Star Galactica(SiFi) etc)

It was added to the supported sites on Jan 09, 2014
http://support.unblock-us.com/customer/portal/articles/1317542-hbo-nordic-now-supported

pricing per month is a bit steep for an online service
79.00 Danish Krone equals
17.61 New Zealand Dollar

I'm pretty sure this is HBO testing the waters of online only accounts, at some point there will be a tipping point in the states and they will start hemorrhaging cable users and switch to a netflix like modal

"The goal is to become HBO faster than HBO can become us." - Ted Sarandos - Chief Content Officer Netflix

I used a VPN to connect to the site. Tested out all the Nordic country speeds and Norway was the best via Astrill. Was using a DD -WRT router to connect. Got to the credit card screen and it was all in Norwegian.
Was worried I would never be able to cancel as I couldn't read the information.

I've been trying it out with Unblock US on my iPad but the quality is terrible - pity they don't support HD streams on iPad.

Think I will avoid this one. Thanks for the heads up.

Just tried watching the HD stream on my laptop but it kept buffering, despite being on VDSL. It's a pity because they have an excellent library of quality TV - and not just stuff from HBO.

i have been using this service on and off for the past 6 months - until i got HBO go :) which is better.

i can get HD via iPad and PC using unotelly or a VPN to sweden/nordic countries ... the xbox 360 app is also out now and that gives me near HD quality (not as good as HBO go which is 1080p)
