I have XBMC on a Raspberry Pi on my Sony TV.
I would like to watch some shows on PBS TV in America but PBS is geo-blocked.
I want to try the free month trial for unblock-us and need to change DNS values - how do I do that with XBMC?
Thanks.

If you are paying for unblock-us I'd change it at the router. Then you get all the stuff on your network with one hit rather than messing about on a per-device basis.

Depending on your ISP, you are best to change it on the devices you want to geo-unlock.

If you are not using your ISP's DNS. Youtube and Akamai content will come from offshore rather from local instances.

That's correct and is what I have done. This means that we can easily watch Netflix on PS3, HTC One, iPad and Samsung Smart TV, etc. The downside is that it knocks out Netflix on Chromecast and also SkyGo on iPad.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

For my ipad I have 2 connections to my router, one DNS auto from ISP, the other set to unblock us, that way I can switch connections in the settings depending on what I want to watch, much easier than changing dns settings manually each time I want to change.

Devils advocate here.

I can understand using unblock-us to get to commercial networks or services but using it to obtain taxpayer or local resident funded TV for FREE and not contributing anything to it seems contary to what people believe with other issues in life.
