Check the website, but I remember the weekly email mentioned it was released last week for 2013 samsung TVs; earlier years are to follow later.
I think my 2010 model will miss out, it's not a smart one!

TBH, and there in lies the problem of putting it on smart TVs...the platforms seem to be changing too much and they don;t seem to retain backwards compatibility.

Agreed. It would be nice if all the manufacturers used the same base OS (like android) and skinned it how they saw fit.

It's a real shame that Google TV (built in) never really took off.  I really do not know why as that would have unified the controls and made everything much easier!

lg smart tv this year is web os and last year was propiotory and samsung change the interface every year so no wonder they have trouble getting it onto devices, a real shame there was no thought process before they placed a bid to gain rights....

Smart TVs are a nice idea for a while, but to be honest I'm thinking a dumb display is better now, with an upgrade to your tablet/streaming box/dongle every 2 years. TVs I'd prefer to keep to a 5+year cycle

It's all about platforms now.

If apple get round to doing their rumoured smart 'iTV' it will suddenly all change and a competitor platform (android tv/google tv 2.0) will finally grab a hold of manufacturers. (see: smart phone industry 2008-2013)
