Email from Microsoft this morning.

"Also coming in June, all Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners will get access to popular entertainment apps on Xbox without needing an Xbox Live Gold membership*. This means that everyone can enjoy the amazing gaming, TV and entertainment experiences that Xbox has to offer, right out of the box."

And just when Netflix is having issues delivering content to NZ.
Damn !
Was looking forward to this - I have no Gold membership, nor any need for Gold, and been holding off from Netflix because I didn't want to fork out for Gold + Unblock + Netflix subs.

I can't seem to find it anywhere, but does anyone knows if this is June 1st or at some stage during June? (possibly with next system update).

And the answer was "today" apparently.

Mine did an update yesterday evening and I can now use the various apps. BBC iplayer and Amazon instant video both very nice.
