Hey got all excited when I realized that I could use global mode with slingshot, I know people have been doing this via VPNs for years but I am just not that clever. I quickly made the switch and ordered a Roku 3 of amazon, with dreams of endless fantastic streaming.
Unfortunately I can get the Roku to connect, but then it can't do the update that it needs to activate the account. When I look on line people have a lot of different solutions, but none of them so far have seemed to help.
I have spent 2 hours talking online to Roku help desk but just went round in circles.
Then tried talking to sling shot.
The person from Roku told me I need to disable network pings on my Roku to get it to connect?
Is there any genius out there who is doing this already and can advice me on what I need to do?
