I have a Samsung UHD TV and just purchased a Blu ray player (BD-H6500) with the intention of running Netflix through it. I know I could run it through the TV but I would need to reset everything to get NZ based Apps to work. The TV is easy to reset the country to UK or USA by pushing a series of buttons on the remote to get the option screen. Does anyone know if a similar method is available for the Blu ray player?

Out of the box the Blu ray just defaults to NZ authorised apps.

I have this model Blu-ray player and have reset the region to the UK, it's very easy.

On main menu screen – the first screen you see once you turn DVD player on- and with empty disc tray,

Press >> 289 <<

thats fast forward 2 8 9 rewind

a list will appear of countries, select the one you want.

I can't post the links but the samygo.tv forum has useful information.

You have to press the buttons quite quickly from memory, but it does work.
