Hey guys, the tv is fairly old, I think it's the 2011 model no Kdl 40cx520.

Is there any way to put the netflix app on it or should I just get a roku?

You'll need a router that is able to support sending all DNS traffic to your unblocking service (pretty easy to do with most routers) for the Roku, Chromecast and many other devices. Personally I'd recommend the Chromecast - I have this TV too and the Netflix interface frankly sucks on it so set up my router to send all traffic over to my unblocking service (DNS4ME) and plugged a Chromecast into it and now can stream from my phone or laptop with ease.
