I have tried to play programmes with TVNZ OnDemand in Chromium, but it will not play. Just displays a blank/black box where the programme is supposed to be.

I have removed ad blocking from the website.

I am using the pepper flash player.

TVNZ website is no help it just goes on about Adobe Flash.

Anyone have any ideas on getting it going?

Use the supported configuration that they support and see if it works?

Going to assume your on linux?

I dont think chromium ships with pepper flash (chromium is completely open source and flash is not)

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Chromium/Getting-Flash

Im still not sure this will work as tvnz uses DRM and I think google stripped it out of pepper flash,

I usually just use firefox with pipelight for flash video, works for skygo as well

There's a chromium build to use pipelight if you really want chromium
http://pipelight.net/cms/chrome-chromium.html

yes this is mess and no, no one who matters cares :)

I think you are right about the DRM - So the fact that Google do not have it in pepper explains why I can't get it to work. Looks like I will stick with loading Firefox for TVNZ.

Why do the they need DRM? (That is a rhetorical question!)
