I have tried >1 DNS thing.  A while ago I signed up to Unotelly it works Netflix fine.  Hulu works OK from the website on a PC, but not on AppleTV or tablet.  In each case the app opens the site OK, gives me a list, lets me choose something then chokes when it's time to play it ("error - try again later" .....).  On the iOS version it brings up the app screen, whirs and grinds for a while then times out.

I am aware that there was thread about this in mid-2014. OverPlay seemed to be the magic bullet. So I tried OverPlay with the same result.

Any ideas much appreciated ...

On the device, not the router. Netflix and US iTunes work

DNS is standard one for inspire (we have global-whatnot for fibre users).  So I just leave the ATV on DHCP. It works Netflix fine and gets part way into Hulu ....  Works US iTunes too.

I have a unotelly sub, so had been running with 69.42.56.54. That worked fine too.

My ATV is on version 6.something of the software and when I ask it to update it says I am up to date already.

The ATV thinks it is in the US as I faked up a US address to make iTunes work.

SO .... how do I make HuluPlus work on my ATV?

or my Samsung tablet would be a plus ....

or my iPad 2 ....

or even my LG phone :-)

Works OK on my desktop PC with the above DNS ...

So near, yet so far :-(

HuluPlus requests are to resolve a248.e.akamai.net - can you run nslookup on this. I'm using unotelly 103.6.212.24 and 103.1.187.68 but unotelly DNS you used appears to respond identically. I tried an Inspire DNS server, 203.114.168.2, and it returned nothing.

OK. I don't really understand "resolves to fred.com" ... sooo ..

Could some one tell me (1.2.3 stuff) how I get hulu to work on my iPad ... or my Samsung tablet ... or my Apple TV.  I'm happy to subscribe to anything that makes it happen ...

It already works on my PC using UnoTelly DNS, but that's not much use for evening TV viewing :-(

Can you advise what Inspire DNS server is used via DHCP please??, as said previously the Inspire DNS server I tried could not resolve the akamai server.
