So its finally been announced and is happening. If your even remotely interested in boxing you will know this is a long time coming and is going to be the biggest boxing event ever seen.

It pains me that the only option is going to be sky satelite to see this, i NEED another option, for the love of all thats good would some online streaming service pick up the rights to this. Sky wont necicarily have the rights to this already surely?.

From what ive read they are jacking up the prices of the ppv in the states, usually a Mayweather fight will set you back $80 for HD, they are saying its going to be over $100 for SD! Compared to our $39.95 we do alright!

PPV's are usually retardedly overpriced anyways. I'll pay $10 maybe but not $30+

Hence why I invariable end up watching it on a streaming site, but even those haven't been the same since the death of WiZiWiG. Thank god for Reddit for finding new streams :-)

The fight is drawing closer, either sky havn't got the rights or they are taking there sweet time putting it on the site, i thought they would be promoting the heck out of it by now. Will be interesting to see pricing, they still think its going to be around $80-100usd! Typically these fights on sky have been either $29 or $39.

In this day and age i can't believe there isn't an official streaming option, even "just" to Americans. I understand the cable network situation over there is retarded to put it bluntly, they are holding onto everything they have (very similar to another company i have just mentioned). I thought i was in with boxnation in the uk, was prepared to do everything to get that but it appears skyuk have the fight.

As it stands, if sky have the rights it looks like I will be borrowing a friends mysky+, purchasing said ppv (it really will pain me to do so). If Colosseum were to get the rights then wow what a shake up that would be. Fully prepared to pay anything semi reasonable for a decent stream!

This event is far to big to risk on a wiziwig stream, they are terrible for major events, buffering every couple of minutes and streams completely dying.

If anyone knows of any other options let me know!

I have a full HD projector beaming to a 120" screen in my lounge so usually have a few mates come to mine for these sorts of things, far cheaper than the pub too :D. The amount of times ive had dodgy streams die on me at critical moments, ughhh, that and a 320p stream blown out to 120" is atrocious. Having a legit HD stream would be heaven.

Heart says pacman but head says mayweather. Pac is going to have to throw 100+ a round and land a lot of them to win it. You better believe Mayweather will have his runners on that night and will be grappling at every chance possible. Here's hoping for a ref that won't put up with that carry on but it hasn't happened yet so why now.

Floyd v Manny... expected Deadshot up against a guy with talking tools. Disappointing!

I know a few pubs will be showing it ( some will even charge admission :()

Sadly, even if I am Filipino, I can't see Manny winning this one. I'll still cheer for him though

Yeah, I'd love to see this...and to see Mayweather humbled.

But as yet, I can't see myself paying ANY kind of money to see it.

If I can watch the biggest sporting even in the world (FIFA WC) on Sky without PPV, I should be able to see this in similar circumstances.

Sky could sell incredible amounts of advertising in this, as it's so heavily anticipated, but I doubt very much that it will be shown without a massive PPV element.

Theres 0% chance of that happening im afraid. Look at the Super8 etc, they think people will pay $40 to watch that crap. Also ive read that Mayweather apparently signs off on all broadcasting deals on this fight, hes going to want top dollar.

And that's why I A: don't want to pay a cent to watch this and B: want to see Mayweather crushed

I can't see me getting either wish fulfilled however.
