I just recieved an email saying my 8 day trial is about to end.

I signed up for the one month trial.

When I log into my account shows as ending on 22 April, which sounds right, so guessing Email sent in error and just to ignore?

At present I do intend on signing up at end of trial.

I recall when I signed up ,it was 7 day free trial.
It does say 8 day free trial on their website.

Haven't seen any competitors that offer more than a week free. You would usually know if it works OK for you by then...

There was a New Zealand and Australia promotion, when Netflix started, I signed up under that.

In my account it has 30 day Australia plan, and expire date 22 April 2015, so I'm sure the Email is a mistake.

Just wanted them to know It looks like emails are being sent that shouldn't be, looks like a glitch somewhere.

Just log a ticket on the Unotelly site, they're fairly prompt in replying.

Well the free month trial is aimed at the new customer not the exiting one  or one who already has a free trial  running..
