I'm a download guru, but have decided to venture into the slightly less piratical streaming scene.
While I have many devices, I'm just concentrating on getting my PS3 working for now.

I've setup trial accounts with Netflix and Unotelly.
I've put my UnoTelly DNS addresses into the DHCP settings on my TP-Link router.
I've set Dynamo in Unotelly to US.

So far, 2 issues.
1. My PS3 cant sign in to the Sony Network anymore, it returns a DNS error.
2. Netflix on PS3 is working, but I dont know how to tell if I'm seeing the US or NZ catalogue.

I hope these are simple things to fix.
Thanks in advance for your help.

search for house of cards Season 3 (the Netflix one, not the old BBC one form the 80s).

if it's there, then you are viewing US Netflix.
If it's not, then you are viewing NZ

ETA: for the first issue,  try just setting the Unotelly DNS on your PS3 instead of your router. That should work.

Thank you.

Issue 2 solved.

I now have a third issue.
3. Am not getting US catalogue.

Did you set up some static routing to block lookups to google DNS servers:
http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/192836-why-do-i-need-to-block-public-dns

If you have a PC on your network I would expect it should show the USA netflix catalog almost immediately on changing it in Unotelly (even without the static route stuff above). The PC wont want to use the google DNS servers. 'Devices' often are set to default to using google DNS. The result is that google would always say 'you are in NZ' - thats why you have to block google - so Unotelly can do its magic.

Unotelly have a 'Sony devices' setting - maybe check or turn that off?

I was using Netflix on my PS3 until recently and all I did was block Google DNS, and setp DHCP to issue Unotelly DNS.

9 times out of 10, my PS3 would fail on PSN as well, but on the 2nd attempt it would connect. Lately, it seems to log in first time.

How embarrassing. I've had my PS3 for so long now I had forgotten I manually entered the network settings. Changed it all over to DHCP, added blocks for public DNS in the router, and now working sweet.

PS3 Sony login = fixed.
PS3 Netflix accessing US catalogue = fixed.

Next device : Samsung Smart TV.

Hmmm, thats weird.
Asus tablet - working.

Sony Z2 phone = error trying to login to Netflix. "Please make sure that your device has network connectivity and the Date and Time settings are accurate. (-3)"
This is odd as it was working fine yesterday in NZ mode.

I can cast to Chromecast via a PC, but not with the ASUS tablet.

Last device - ATV2.
I use this only for XBMC. How would I use it for Netflix?
I'm not sure if I even have an itunes account.

now that netflix is here, the app should just appear.  Sign in and off you go.  If the dns setting are in play which is sounds like they are, the us catalog should be available.

OK, there is no Netflix option on my ATV2. This may be because its version is quite old? At some point it was recommended to stop ATV updates to make XBMC run better.

Ahh yeah you're probably right.  I've let mine upgrade as I didn't care about xbmc (I use plexconnect instead).

Region was set to NZ. Changed it to US and now Netflix shows up. My Appletv2 is on version 4.3. However, Netflix wont run, it just says "currently unavailable, please try again later". Its the only device in the house its unavailable on.
