Just an FYI the new Sony / Spotify relationship has produced a really nice looking and sounding app, defiantly worth a try; I have the premium account free through my Spark mobile plan, so its good to leverage, it also works for free but with ads.

Benefits
Spotify integrates into my home audio system for a surprisingly good sound (PS4 is setup to output to DTS).
Use the PS4 app to add music to your playlist that then downloads to your phone when it updates, the big benefit is that you can then use the phone via Bluetooth to play music in the car or through earphones while walking.
Plays music simultaneously while playing a game, PS4 only.

I linked my Premium account last night and played some tunes in the background while playing Fifa 15. It was pretty neat. A couple of things though...

1. I had to turn the game's music down to zero - I thought this would automatically happen.
2. I can't figure out how to shuffle songs on a playlist - it displayed them in order of artist and played from the first track in sequential order.

Other than that, pretty cool.

You're not the only person who noted the game issue I guess this will be fixed pretty quickly. I haven't tried it but you maybe able to use your phone / tablet to shuffle play to the PS4 App.

So what happened to Music Unlimited? I just got Spotify earlier today on my PS4 because of this post.

Music unlimited has gone. They emailed about this a couple of times.

I have enough devices to play it on that its all a bit meh to me unless they actually integrate controls into games, like the radio selector in GTA5 and similar.

Speaking of GTA, since you can equip your character with headphones as part of the outfit, why dont you get music with them on, but you do when you are in a car? Seems like an oversight.

I find it annoying that I have to suspend my game to access the app.

Control it from your phone perhaps?
