I opened the History channel app on the Roku the other day and was surprised to see the current season of Vikings available, on demand and in HD. Then I logged on to the website and they were there too, plus all the behind the scenes footage etc.

I use Unblock-Us so obviously that could be why I got it, but I have just tried on my work computer and a lot of the content loaded. The full length episodes didn't play, they just buffered, but I didn't got a 'sorry this is unavailable in your region' message, it just didn't play, but the previews and specials did.

I found an old post from Unblock-Us saying they don't support History channel yet (June 2014)
https://support.unblock-us.com/customer/portal/questions/702808-how-to-watch-history-channel

Can anyone else confirm this? Can you access the History channel website, or app, and watch Vikings, from NZ?

NonprayingMantis: for free?

Yeah, which was also surprising! In the past I have watched free content on the app but its been restricted to a few episodes here and there, and you need a sub to keep watching.
