Since when did TVNZ start doing this Express From The U.S. thing on TVNZ OnDemand?
Looks quite promising. Apparently shows are uploaded to TVNZ OnDemand as soon as they finish airing in the States.

Yep, but seems to have ramped up this past TV season. It's actually a bit annoying, because I don't like watching OnDemand and it seems like a bit of an excuse to delay broadcasting some of the shows. Admittedly, they do have some shows that they screen over-the-air the same day (or thereabouts) as the US.

I have noticed that a lot of the time when they delay now it seems to be to sync the finals without stopping some weeks like they do in the states.

Flash/Arrow are good examples they both started weeks behind but in the last couple of weeks ended up being next day

Is the quality of TVNZ on Demand still rubbish? I'm assuming it's still SD? And doesn't it require an account to be used now? Can content be AirPlayed from an iPad to an Apple TV, given the lack of an ATV app?

I'm assuming the answers are yes, yes, yes and no - and until all are reversed, even if the programmes were making their international debut on TVNZ on Demand  I can't and couldn't be bothered using it.

BBC iPlayer gets most things right (though programmes don't last that long on it, and the download feature is essentially useless, given its speed) - I hope the NZ networks learn from it and similar products soon...

Is there a way to watch in HD, on my television without plugging in a laptop?

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

In that case, I couldn't even be bothered watching it if they paid me $10 an hour, SD, analog sound yuck.

I assume they mean stereo, not DD/5.1/DTS.
