Hey there,

We get a decent proportion of our Nat Rad hit via listening on a UE Smart Radio (running the Squeezebox firmware). Until recently, the quality of this audio stream has been excellent. Unsurprisingly, the downside of the quality has been a delay between the FM and online streams - around two minutes at a best guess.

However, sometime in the past couple of weeks I realised the audio quality has significantly worsened, to the point where it now sounds not much better than the rubbish quality stream used on the Radio NZ app (the difference could solely be the better amplification on the Smart Radio); it has all the hallmarks of low-quality encoding. There's also next to no delay between FM and this 'new' stream.

Can anyone advise what's happened here? Has RNZ got rid of the higher-quality stream that we were previously listening to, or is it still available by some other means? Any advice gratefully received.
